Hey guys, I just did a giant friends cut. It wasn't anything personal - I just went back to June 1st of last year, made a list of everyone I'd heard from between then and now and kept those people. I thought that was a fair way of assessing who is and isn't still around, lol. :)

This isn't a cry for attention, and I'm not expecting anyone to *BEG* to be added back. I'm just making this post so people who may have received notifications that I deleted them will know why - and, of course, if I made a mistake and overlooked you, or if you're still reading but just haven't commented, feel free to let me know you want to stay. No big thang... just some "spring" cleaning!

Hey everybody! I've just completed my friends cut.

Here's how I did it:

Last Monday, I made THIS POST, asking anyone who did not want to be cut to leave a comment. Using those comments, I made a list of usernames of people who asked to stay.

Then, I went through my "FRIENDS ONLY, COMMENT TO BE ADDED" entries at the top of my journal and added to that list the usernames of people who have added me since 2009 began.

Finally, I deleted everyone who was not on either one of those lists, with the exception of people who have been my friend since the "beginning of time" and the people I know in real life.

Nevertheless, it was still a massive cut; I let 70+ people go. Under the following cut is the list of people who I still had added as of the time I made this post:

Either check that list, or hover over my name to see if we are still friends. If we are, YAY! If we aren't and it's a mistake (you missed the post/I missed your comment/I deleted you by accident), please comment on this post and I'll gladly add you back. If we aren't and you don't care, please delete me from your list as well.

P.S. Oh! Recently, a few people I don't know have added me to their flists, but they haven't commented to let me know why. I don't add people back until I receive a comment so I know their reasoning, so if you are wanting me to add you back, please ask. Thanks :)

Hay errbody!

I've decided to do a friends cut -- not for any reason other than that I feel my flist is outdated. There are people on there that I hear from every day, and there are people I haven't heard from in years, so I just want to clean it up a bit.

If you could a leave a comment on this post letting me know that you don't want me to delete you (particularly those people I haven't talked to in a while :) ), that would be greatly appreciated. Some of you are OBVIOUS keepers, so you don't have to comment if you don't want to, lol :).

But yeah, if any of you have lost interest in this journal and just haven't bothered to delete me, don't worry about leaving a comment and I'll just delete you when I clean up the list sometime within the next week-ish. If you ARE reading the story (or plan to in the future, or like to read my other fiction, or whatever), please do leave a comment just so I don't delete you by accident :).
